The global pandemic forced us to adopt new ways of connecting and communicating. This motivated tech companies to invest hundreds of millions of dollars to improve our digital experience so our transition would be relatively seamless and potentially long-lasting.

Out of work-life disruption, came innovation and change.

While in-person meetings will no doubt fill our calendars again, the convenience and reach that digital can provide will see the way we communicate and share information with others change forever.

MEDD Live is built for the convenience of both the speaker and the attendee with the option of live and on-demand sessions.

MEDD Live is also designed for maximum reach and ease of access through omnichannel hosting across all CTD platforms, technology and distribution channels.

We invite all specialists, general practitioners, hospitals, and healthcare organisations to participate in MEDD Live and associated programs, connecting the medical community through education and technology.

MEDD LIVE Technology

MEDD Live 2022 is making it easier to grow your support network with the launch of MEDD Linkd utility.

Attending sessions whether live or on-demand is a great way to keep yourself up to date, earn CPD points and discover new things happening in medicine, but it is also a great way to connect with a support network of specialists.

Need an answer to a question you forgot to ask? Need some advice on a patient or need to refer to someone with specific skills that may be able to help your patient?

Scan the QR code of each speaker and with the push of a button save them to your smartphone or desktop contacts so you can contact them when required.

The MEDD Linkd utility is answering the question of “who do I refer patients to for access to that new management option I learned about?”

The convenience of on-demand content.

Many of us register to online events without any intention of attending the live session, because we know we will be sent a link to the recording that we can access at a time convenient for us. MEDD Live is no different.

While we encourage our audience to attend live sessions to maximise their learning experience we do offer the convenience of on-demand viewing through MEDD.com.au

MEDD is like YouTube (™) for doctors and other HCPs. Members can access content by topic, category or keyword, follow healthcare organisations, and attend live streamed events.

MEDD also lets you find other MEDD members by category or keyword and connect with them for private messaging and group chats.

MEDD forum function allows you to post questions for MEDD members to answer or comment on.

As with most medical content platforms, users are required to be registered Australian Healthcare providers.

Particular expertise lies in education for healthcare professionals. Lateral Connections is formally recognised as an Education Provider with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Continuing Professional Development (RACGP CPD) Programme for the 2020-2022 triennium.

Furthermore, we regularly submit education programs to the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM), Australian College of Pharmacy (ACP) and Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF) for continuing education endorsement/accreditation.

Connect The Docs is medical education and marketing agency, and tech startup.
